Happy Birthday Jantira K
A few days ago it was the birthday of one of my very close and amazing friends Jantira of Jantira K. I have been trying to recall my first memories of her but I can’t remember the first time we met or when we hit it off. I just remember always loving her.
I’ve written about her or featured her numerous times.

Authentic Thai Food. (On a side note, Jantira says I take horrible pictures of food. I’m going to try and improve on that.)
But none of those do justice to this magnificent woman. Jantira in her core is a creative artist. Her canvasses are endless. The capacity she has to create beautiful things out of messy pieces astounds me. I think she is so dark and twisted and yet so so beautiful, inside and out.
One of my favorite memories of Jantira involves me offending every Thai sensibility there is when she took me out for Thai food in Chinatown one time. That’s a story for another day.
I don’t even know where to begin with her. I just think she is an amazing woman and I am so lucky that even when she has seen me at my worse, she still loves me. I love spending time with her because I never know what might happen in that day. We might end up in the ocean, shopping for shoes, or on the phone at 3am crying our eyes out at our own nightmares.
In Jantira I have found a kindred spirit and I am never letting her go.
