A Letter to the Living: Whenever you miss Tinu Olateju

I find solace in knowing that energy can not be created or destroyed. It manifest itself in many ways, in glorious ways, in ways we can not even fathom. This energy is comprised of God. And that energy is here,…in the universe…somewhere. We as humans are comprised of energy too. Therefore despite the passing of our earthly bodies..our soul and energy can never go away.

Tinu is always.

I mean that as I wrote it.

Tinu is always.

Before we knew her as child, she existed and until the end of time, she will always exist.

I don’t mean this as a metaphor. There will be times when her spirit is so powerful that you will swear she is right beside you. There will be other times when you see her joy manifested in another thing or person.

This is no metaphor. Yes, we buried her body. Yes, the way in which we know her is now different. Yes, we each have a broken heart.

Just know…. Tinu is always.
