Movement ~ A Journey Towards Center

This month, after evaluating how I will be spending my time from four different dance classes, to major life events, to creative endeavors and artistic projects, I kept seeing instances of movement. I see it literally, metaphorically, emotionally, physically, spiritually. There is this constant ebb of flow moving through me.

A few [partial] definitions I came across.

….a progressive development of ideas

…..coordinated group action focused on a political or social issue

This is NOT a passive word or life. I can not live passively. I must engage and act. I must move and propel myself forward.

There are other words that come to mind when thinking of the process of movement.

Journey. Flight. Flow. Progress. Shift. Stir. Active. Movement. Advance. Propel. Forward. Motion.

This month I’m looking for images, words, quotes and writings as it relates to movement, a journey towards center. Some I will share and perhaps some I will not.

I want to explore various types of movements. The range of movement. The differences between movements. The comparison between movement and stillness.
