Curly Natural Hair and Hask Beauty

When given the option to try two different lines of Hask beauty hair products, I jumped. I’m always looking for new inspiration and better products that make my life easier and more delightful. New product experiments give me the push to play and have fun. Hask sent me their “Argan Oil” Repairing Shampoo, Conditioner, Deep Conditioner and Lightweight Shine Oil. They also kindly sent me their “Keratin Protein” Smoothing Shampoo, Conditioner, Deep Conditioner and Lightweight Shine Oil. (The Keratin Protein line is not pictured.)

Based on sight alone, I was excited about the product. I love PRETTY THINGS! Their packaging is on point! Immediately after noticing the wonderful packaging, I opened the bottles to smell the products. They both have very different smells and yet they are both delightful. There is a light citrus kick to the Argan Oil line and a lush spa feel to how the “Keratin Protein” line smells. (That’s not even a smell but that is what comes to mind.)

I have experimented with both lines and honestly, I can’t pick a favorite between either. What I can tell you is that with both lines I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the deep conditioner. Like….LOVE, LOVE, LOVE. Enough that I am willing to switch from my 4 year go to deep conditioner.

Also, I am not sure what is in the regular conditioner but my detangling process has been a BREEZE! Detangling my thick curly hair which normally shrinks over 75% can be the bane of my natural hair existence and my wash routine. However, for some reason was cut in half. WHAT. WHAT!!!!

I also loved that the fragrance of the products lingered on my hair. Immediately after washing and conditioning my hair, I put my curls in two strand twist using shea butter and the various lightweight shine oil. What I would like is a styling cream from Hask to help set the curls.

Throughout the wash routine and after styling my hair, I found that my hair was UBER soft and less frizzy.

According to Hask, their “Argan Oil” is known as “liquid gold.” Loaded with vitamins and antioxidants, Argan Oil from Morocco repairs, strengthens and moisturizes hair, all while taming frizz and adding shine. While I can’t vouch for my hair being “repaired” or “strengthened” because it wasn’t damaged, it definitely is moisturized, less frizzy and shiny!

The Keratin Protein, according to Hask is, “powerful and restorative. Keratin revives, restores, calms and strengthens parched, frizzy locks—wiping out the effects of heat, humidity and over-styling and helping your hair look and feel its best.” Again, my hair wasn’t damaged…especially because I don’t use heat or over style my hair but I could always use more moisture! What is interesting is that they say, “revive, restores and calms” considering when trying to describe the scent, I wrote, “LUSH SPA”

The next day after styling my hair, I took my two strand twist out for a more voluminous style. I even managed to take a time lapse video comprised of over 100 photos showing the process! Its over 100 photos but its only 7 seconds long. ENJOY

Wasn’t that fun! I’m going to have to experiment with TimeLapse videos more!

Overall, I really liked the Hask products. Their packaging is great. Their scents are amazing. The product themselves comes in standard sizes, are the right consistencies, make detangling a breeze and their DEEP CONDITIONER is truly a MUST HAVE. SERIOUSLY. Or at least its a MUST TRY and then watch your mind be blown. LOVED IT.

And well, for the final reveal…after all was said and done, the final product lead to this fierce and sassiness!
