Hi there! My name is Sheena LaShay.

I inspire people to live AUTHENTIC and POWERFUL lives.

I do this in various ways.

1. I EXPRESS MYSELF. I live my life, unapologetically, wholeheartedly & full of love and I share my stories.
2. I WRITE MY HEART OUT. Here on SheenaLaShay.com and on Owning Pink.com, Vertical Art & Fitness, and many other places.
3. I OFFER SERVICES. I photograph your life. I record your stories. I create unique experiences.

The most important life value to me is EXPRESSION. I believe we were put on this earth, right HERE and right NOW, to uniquely express our individual and shared experiences. In all that I do in the field of creativity, sensuality, spirituality, advocacy and community, it’s all about finding ways to EXPRESS my RAW and TRUE nature.

A few interesting facts.

1. I grew up in Chicago and currently live in New York.
2. I grew up in a cult.
3. I was home schooled for high-school.
4. My mother has four daughters and we all share the same middle name, “LaShay”
5. If given the choice to stay on a beach for 10 days or experience a meditative, silent retreat in the forest, I’d chose the latter. I did in fact!
6. If given the choice between radishes and chocolate, I’d chose the former.
7. I made Red Velvet Pancakes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
8. I am very curious and adventurous. I can’t count how many times I’ve said, “I’ll try anything once. If I don’t like it, I can always spit it out or leave! But you just never know.”
9. According to Social Me, I talk about “Sexuality” 31% of the time on Facebook. I wonder how high that statistic would be if they knew me off facebook. They also said I like to talk about Beauty, Spirituality and Philosophy.

When I’m not writing or working on my various projects, I’m usually pole dancing, reading books, creating mixed media journals or making homemade body products. I like discovering traditions, creating rituals and developing connections with Spirit, Others and Nature.
