Hot Oil Treatment and Detangling Naturally Curly Hair
Thursday, December 16th, 2010Homemade Deodorant – Female Scented
Friday, September 17th, 2010After researching various homemade deodorant recipes, I came across a few simple ones. The original recipe I’m basing this one of can be found here. My mom wanted to try this recipe as well. Depending on how much you emit an order and/or sweat adjust the amounts of corn starch and baking soda. This recipe is natural and organic minus the flour we substituted in. If you use corn starch….you are all good.
INGREDIENTS USED:
Shea Butter – (still trying to locate the vendor I bought it from. I bought it online but they are a local New York vendor)
Organic Corn Starch – Purchased at my local Wholefoods Grocery Store
Organic Baking Soda – Purchased at my local Wholefoods Grocery Store
Vitamin E – Purchased on Drugstore.com
Vegetable Glycerin – Purchased at my local Wholefoods Grocery Store and/or Amazon.com
Essential Oils – Purchased at my local Wholefoods Grocery Store and/or Drugstore.com
Container – Purchased from the same vendor I got my shea butter from. See above.
Moisturizing Hair Mist Recipe
Monday, September 13th, 2010An organic, homemade, natural, diy moisturizing hair mist for naturally curly hair.
I spray this on my hair lightly, as needed every other day or so. The best way to moisturize your hair is through water. I don’t believe the hype that you need tons of products to keep your hair healthy and moisturized. You could even just put water in your hair but I like to enhance it with a little bit more. I enjoy making my own products since they cost a FRACTION of the cost considering I use all the ingredients for many other products!
INGREDIENTS USED:
Water – Distilled Water is best.
Vegetable Glycerin – Purchased at my local Wholefoods Grocery Store and/or Amazon.com
Olive Oil – Purchased at any grocery store
Essential Oils – Purchased at my local Wholefoods Grocery Store and/or Drugstore.com
Rose Water – Purchased at my local Whilefoods Grocery Store
Water Bottles – Purcahsed on LuvNaturals.com and my mom’s extra supplies
OTHER INGREDIENTS MENTIONED BUT NOT USED:
Coconut Oil – Purchased at any grocery storer
Almond Oil – Purchased at my local Wholefoods Grocery Store
